How do I sign up?
Get started now with an all-inclusive, free 30-day trial! Or, select one of our plans above. To start a free trial, just type your email and password into the signup form and you’ll be logged into your new account right away. That’s it! You can choose to upgrade at any time, or continue with a Free account forever after your trial ends.
What happens at the end of my trial?
Your account is automatically downgraded to a Free account at the end of the trial. Upgrade to a paid plan at any time for increased monthly data, premium features, and longer retention periods.
What do I get in my free Logentries account?
The free Logentries service was designed to provide a valuable set of log management and analytics capabilities for all users. The free service gives you 5 free GBs of data, and offers up to 20 additional free GBs of data through the Referral Program. You can submit Referrals directly from your Accounts page within the service. The free account also includes: unlimited hosts and sources, visualized search, custom tagging and access to free Community Packs.
What does “30 Day Peak Overage Protection” mean?
If you exceed your monthly plan volume limit, all your log data will continue to be captured and you will not be charged. Logentries is committed to protecting you against unexpected volume spikes or other one-time increases in your log data volume. If you exceed your monthly allotted data plan, we will be in touch to talk with you about the nature of the overage and moving you to an appropriately sized plan that better fits your organization’s logging volume needs. If you continue to exceed your monthly plan limit, your account may be subject to overage fees. You’re automatically protected for 30 days, with no billing surprises.
What is Unlimited Support?
The Logentries Team is here you make sure you are successful using the service, regardless of what plan you are on! We provide unlimited support to all of our users and want to make this as easy as possible: you can enter a support ticket from directly within the product, or email us anytime at email@example.com.
How do I get 20 extra free GBs of data?
The Logentries Referral Program offers 5 free GBs of data for each referral, up to 20 free GBs, who signs up for a free account and starts sending log data into the Logentries service. To get started with the Referral Program, log into your account, and follow these simple instructions. If you do not have a Logentries account, create a free account here (in less than 5 minutes!).
How much data can I send to Logentries?
We built Logentries to support all of your logging needs, regardless of size, with support for sending and storing virtually any amount of log data. Our standard subscriptions range from gigabytes (GB) of data per month to terabytes (TB) of data per month. Can I switch plans?
Yes, you can switch between plans at any time. Your new level of service begins immediately.
How do I upgrade?
Simply select one of our plans above or go to your account page to choose a plan and enter your payment details. If you are using the Logentries add-on from a platform provider, you will need to upgrade on the provider’s add-on page.
When does my subscription begin?
Your subscription begins as soon as you sign up for a paid plan. For example, If you sign up on the 8th of the month, you will be billed on the 8th of each subsequent month; your monthly data limit will also reset on the same day. All plans are prepaid for the month.
What does “Retention Period” mean?
The Retention Period is how long your logs will be stored and searchable in the Logentries UI. Our Starter Plans include 14 days of log retention by default; however, customers can choose any retention period they would like with a Custom Plan. Whether you want to retain your logs for days, weeks, or years, we can customize a plan to meet your needs. Also, if you would like to archive your log data to longer-term storage, you can download your logs via our open API; automatically archive your logs using our AWS S3 archiving capabilities; or use the DataHub for dynamic log routing, unlimited AWS S3 archiving and local data backups for additional redundancy. How do I cancel the service?
If you are a paying customer and wish to cancel your subscription, please contact email@example.com to be switched to a Free plan. We require 30 days notice for cancelation of a paid account. Free users can end their service at any time by simply not sending log data to Logentries and deleting any data in their account.
What if I don’t know my monthly log volume?
During your trial, Logentries displays your daily and monthly log volume on your account page. You can use these values to determine which plan best supports your environment.
How long are your subscriptions?
We offer standard monthly and annual subscriptions via our website. If you would like a custom agreement please contact our sales team at firstname.lastname@example.org. Subscriptions can be ended at any time with 30 days notification. Subscriptions will be cancelled the first billing cycle after the notification period. Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of your subscription term unless you change or cancel your subscription.
